Maryhill Winery, WA

Building on the quality of our initial 4,500 case vintage in 1999, Maryhill Winery’s current production of 55,000 cases continues to embody our original intention of creating superior wines of great value.  Dedication to our vineyards, growers and attention to detail has enabled us to improve the quality of our wines year after year.

Our enthusiasm, which fostered such unprecedented growth to the 18th largest winery in the state, has overflowed to other aspects of our unique business model as well.  With annual visitation at over 75,000 a year Maryhill Winery is among the top 5 most visited tasting rooms in Washington today.  With over 500 wineries now in Washington this exhibits the hospitality, tastes, views and overall experience one has when they make Maryhill Winery a stop on their itinerary.

Whatever your reason for visiting Maryhill Winery is, come see why our motto is Passion, Patience and Balance.  Welcome to Maryhill Winery and to our future.

Our Wine

Possibly the most enjoyable part of Maryhill, from a grower's standpoint, is the wide variety of grapes the area will support - including several difficult to grow varietals often stunted in many of the region's other vineyards. We focus our vineyards on producing premium red wines, with special attention to Syrah and Sangiovese. Our larger vineyards include blocks of Zinfandel, Viognier, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines, as well as smaller sections for Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Grenache.

Our first wines, the 1999 vintage, were contract-produced at Hogue Cellars in Prosser, WA, from fruit grown in the Columbia Valley Appellation of Washington State. Starting with our 2000 vintage, our releases will primarily use fruit grown on our estate vineyards at the winery along the Columbia River Gorge. Our vision includes contracting with select premier vineyards in the area to grow for Maryhill Winery. By using the best of Washington and Oregon vineyards along the river, we plan to draw out the unique and individual flavors of this rich and diverse growing region.
