Surrounded by waterfalls, peaks, forests, and canyons of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Skamania Lodge is a renowned, all-season mountain resort and conference center, situated on 175 acres, 42 miles east of Portland, Ore. Skamania Lodge is one of 34 independent, upscale and luxury hotels, resorts and golf clubs in the United States managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, the fifth largest independent hospitality management company in the country.

Skamania Lodge was build in 1993, and was a true public-private partnership involving four primary parties: The Columbia River Gorge Commission, the US Forest Service, Skamania County and Salishan Lodge, working with its associate Grayco Resources, Inc.

Skamania Lodge is proud of its heritage and continued relationship with the US Forest Service. Our lobby is host to a Forest Service Information Center that is a great partner in providing visitors to our area professional information about the Gorge and all of the recreations wonders that it has to offer.

With windows opening to fresh mountain air and a vibrant fireplace in the lobby, Skamania features stunning views of both the Columbia River and the Cascade Mountains. Skamania's 254 rooms and suites feature original artwork, richly textured fabrics, northwest style wood furnishings and all the comforts of a luxury mountain lodge.

For our guests, please feel free to enjoy our heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor & indoor whirlpools and dry saunas. Weather permitting, enjoy one of our two outdoor tennis courts or our sand volleyball court located on the grounds at the Lodge. Adult mountain bicycles are also available by the Fitness Center for your use.
