Located just west of Stevenson, the Interpretive Center depicts the historical, cultural and geologic development of the Columbia River Gorge. Multiple exhibits, plus a 37-foot replica of a 19th Century fish wheel illustrate the gorge’s 40-million year long story. For more information, visit http://www.columbiagorge.org.
Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center showcases the area's unique cultural and historical diversity. From the Native American tribes that inhabited the Gorge, to Lewis and Clark and 19th-century loggers, the center features historical artifacts and interpretive displays that include Native American life, the world's largest rosary collection, an 1800's working saw mill steam engine, a 37-foot high fish wheel and many other displays.
