"It shall be the mission of The Dalles Mural Society to pictorially preserve the epic historical events that have occured in the area, while increasing the charm, beauty, and livability of our city for residents and visitors alike."
The Dalles Mural Society is a private, non-profit organization which depends significantly on membership support. Your donation helps the society to continue in its commitment to cultural enrichment through the use of Historic Murals.

Each of the paintings tells a story about a historical event, such as the "Peace Treaty of 1855",  "The Dalles, Northwest Trading Center for 10,000 Years", "Lewis & Clark Expedition", "Umatilla House", "Where Wheat is King", "Ancient Indian Fishing Grounds", "Hudson Bay Company", or "Decision at The Dalles". Each is beautifully illustrated and features a legend which tells the story of the historic event.
