Welcome to Viento, blowin' fresh cuisine into the newly revitalized north shore of the central Columbia River Gorge.
Viento is a bistro-style dinner house, featuring a menu that draws from our love of the world's rich and varied culinary traditions.

We serve locally grown lamb, fruits and vegetables, natural beef and chicken, organic juices and Gorge wines and microbrews. It's the taste of the place we love.

Our dining room catches the southern sun, and lets guests watch our most excellent crew deliver great food at a great price. Doubt us? Try us.

Tables in our dining room are made from kirei, a sustainable Japanese building product made from sorghum stalks.

It's a great, casual way to enjoy good food and the fun, emerging downtown scene in Bingen. Our style is closest to a bistro atmosphere, with international flavors. Proprietors Kathy and Stu Watson both grew up on the West Coast, and Stu spent years as a Navy brat in Japan and Guam. They are both influenced by the Mexican and Asian foods common on the West Coast.

Kathy also has an interest in Indian cooking, and has taught classes in this fascinating cuisine. In today's world, great food and good service is the price of entry. We provide both. As we grow, we encourage you to share your thoughts and constructive criticism. It's the only way we can become the place you will want to visit again and again.
